I have been designing my own collections for 5 years now under the label Elizabeth Mason Couture, support by a wonderful group of very talented young ladies who are sample and pattern makers in my Atelier.
Elizabeth Mason is a contemporary fashion designer and owner of The Paper Bag Princess, a Vintage Couture clothing boutique located in Beverly Hills. Jet-setting fashion designers, collectors and enthusiasts from around the globe flock to her boutique for incredible fashions from such historical houses and designers as early Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Gres, and Charles James. Her contemporary couture collection as well as a currated collection of important vintage designs were contracted to be featured for the past two years at ‘The Room’, a luxury women's designer department at The Hudson's Bay Company Department Store, Queen Street Flagship location in Toronto, and are now also available as an exclusive offering in celebrity owned Belle Gray Boutique, by Lisa Rinna in Sherman Oaks, California.
Mason’s designs are inspired by the beautiful vintage couture she has had the privilege to collect and represent in her boutique for many years, that heralds back to the great designers of the late 1930s through the early 1950s, with a very special attention to the Hollywood Silver Screen era designers such as Adrian, Irene, Ceil Chapman, Helen Rose, Howard Greer, Travilla, and Don Loper, as well as classics such as Chanel, Desses, Dior and Balenciaga. Her designs have been described as “Glamorous and sexy red carpet attire with a contemporary edge, yet still reflecting the incredible craftsmanship of an era lost to manufacturing techniques of today’s fast-paced, cookie-cutter fashion houses.”
